The pain at the base of my left thumb has worsened significantly since the third joint pain started. It seems that the third joint is deformed. I was told that the pain would go away once the deformation stopped. I tried medication, patches, ointments, and injections, but the pain didn't change much. I even woke up in the middle of the night due to the pain. This brace was the best at protecting me from the pain. I wore it almost 24 hours a day when the pain was severe. I lost one while traveling (I forgot to put it on after washing my hands in the bathroom), so I bought about three more.

It's better than another one I bought recently; this one holds the finger better.
The first one I bought has a very thin finger strap that comes loose.
