I bought it for my father based on a waist measurement of 114 cm, so I measured myself after wearing a few sweaters to get to that size. XL fits well for a size of 114 cm (the product page and the product label indicate slightly different measurements in centimeters for size XL).

It's just bigger than M size, is it US size?
Since I am overweight in middle age, even a regular build for men should be loose.
